Biography
Stephanie Mills (born March 22, 1957) is an American Grammy-winning R&B, soul, and gospel singer, songwriter, and actress who first achieved legendary status as the original Dorothy in the Broadway smash The Wiz. Known for her immensely powerful vocal range despite her petite 4'9" frame, she successfully transitioned from a child stage star to a defining R&B hitmaker of the late 1970s and 1980s.
