Indiëstrijders

In this four-part series, Frans Bromet talks to former Dutch East Indies fighters about their experiences during the armed conflict between the Netherlands and Indonesia. 'Boy, in the Indies, keep your head up, there in the land of Emeralds'—with this song, the viewer is confronted in every episode with the portrait of a young Dutch East Indies fighter.
